A session label lets you define and organize a group of sessions, making it easier to filter, manage, and report on them. Session labels can be created from the district, school, or provider dashboard and are only available within the dashboard where they are created.

What session labels are used for
Labels are useful tools for Districts, Schools and Providers to do the following:
- Group sessions for grant tracking, compliance, reporting, and operational tasks
- Filter and organize sessions by funding source, program type, semester, partner organization, or initiative
- Organize sessions using labels such as “STEM,” “Expanded Learning,” “ASES,” or “Summer Program”
- Manage large groups of sessions more efficiently without selecting them individually each time
Because labels can be reused for different use cases, they help keep reporting and day-to-day administration consistent and efficient.
How to create, apply, or edit a session label from the Session Roster Page
- From any dashboard > Rosters & attendance > Session rosters
-

- If your filtered results span multiple pages, check the box to “Select all sessions,” then click “Select all # sessions matching this filter” to select all matching sessions across all pages.
- If your filtered results span multiple pages, check the box to “Select all sessions,” then click “Select all # sessions matching this filter” to select all matching sessions across all pages.

-

How you can manage and update session labels from the Session Labels page
This approach is especially helpful when working with a large number of sessions. Unlike applying labels from the Session Rosters page, where sessions may span multiple pages and require repeating the process for each page, the Session Labels page allows you to update all filtered sessions at once.
- Start from your Dashboard > Basic setup > Session labels
- Use the search box to filter sessions by keyword.
- Check or uncheck “Exclude cancelled/ended sessions” to control which sessions are included in the results.
- Select all sessions in the filtered results and add or remove them from the label in one action, regardless of how many sessions are returned.
How to check and edit the label(s) for a specific session
Each session can have multiple labels, which you can view, add, or edit from the session roster or setup page. In the session info section at the top left, you’ll see existing labels and options to ‘Add labels’ or ‘Edit labels’ for that session.
How to filter by session label from the session roster
