When a district adopts the restricted portal feature and imports student data from the district's Student Information System (SIS) into 6crickets, by default, the students can only enroll in sessions that take place at the student's school or appear on that school's portal. If you want them to be able to enroll in any sessions throughout the district, for example, for Summer or other intersession programs that are held at several sites but open to all students, you can change the setting by following these steps:
- Log in to your account on 6crickets.com and navigate to your district dashboard.
- Under the "Manage registration and attendance" section, click on "Create/update student profiles & parent accounts.".
- Then select the "Settings" tab.
- Uncheck the box next to the option: "A district student can be enrolled only in sessions that take place at the student's school or appear on that school's portal.”, then click on Save.
NOTE:
- If you allow students to enroll in any sessions throughout the district, you may want to change the default view of your district registration portal to a market view instead of a school view (how-to article) to make it easier for parents to find the programs.
- If you want students to enroll in any sessions throughout the district for Summer programs, please remember to go back to the "Settings" page and check the box before the registration for Fall starts.
