By default, we provide a warning to parents when their students are outside the grade/age range of a program, but allow parents to proceed with registration.
However, you can deny registrations for students outside the specified grade/age range by making the following configurations:
- Sign in to the Provider Dashboard at https://www.6crickets.com/provider.
- From the dashboard or menu to the left, under "Program setup", click on "Programs"
- Click on the "Edit Program & Its Sessions" button for the program you want to update.
- Scroll down to “Students outside the age/grade ranges” and select “Cannot be registered”.
- Remember to save your update by clicking on the pink “Save” button at the bottom of the page.
Grade promotion:
By default, students are promoted to the next grade on June 1 every year in 6crickets. Districts can configure their own grade promotion date on their district dashboard > District Profile.
After the grade promotion date, the system uses the grade in the Fall to determine the grade match. For example, if a parent is registering for a program before the grade promotion date, the student's grade used for a match is their grade in Spring that year. If registering after the grade promotion date, the student's grade used for a match is their grade in Fall of that year.
