The Seasons feature allows you to define registration periods and skip dates for sessions.
Setting up Seasons is a great way to organize the classes on a school’s registration portal, and to make sure the classes held at all your schools have a unified registration period and skip dates.
Setting up a Season
This is how you set up a season from your district dashboard.
- From the dashboard or the menu on the left, find Manage providers & programs, and click on “Seasons”.
- Click the pink “+ Add a New Season” button. To edit an existing Season, click the pen icon next to the Season name.
- Fill out or edit the information for the Season (start/end date, registration start/end date, skip dates, etc.). The fields with an asterisk are required.
- Click “Save” and you are done setting up the Season.
Apply Seasons to Schools
- From the dashboard or the menu on the left, find Basic setup, and click “My schools.”
- Toggle the "District manages seasons" button for each school in your district. The district Season will be applied to all sessions of the schools that have the button on.
How Seasons Affect the Providers
The Season setting from the district profile will override the provider settings. Providers will see a warning message when trying to edit the registration and skip dates of a session.
A Few Things to Remember
A Season's skip dates and registration start/end dates will apply to a session if all of the following conditions are met:
- The Season's start and end dates extend beyond the session's start and end dates.
- The Season's registration start date (if any) is before the session start date (not the same day).
- The Season's registration end date is before the session end date (not the same day).
The Season start and end dates do not need to match the session dates exactly. As long as the start and end dates of the sessions are set within the start and end dates of the Season, the Season settings will automatically apply. This will ensure that all sessions have the same registration period and skip dates.
