How to manage parent volunteers.

Parent volunteers are a great help for after school classes and sometimes, a discount or the ability to register early will be offered for their child to show gratitude. If you need to help a parent volunteer register for a class with a discount code, please follow the steps below:

Discount codes can be used like coupons, and are a great way to provide discounts to Parent volunteers. Here is the help article for: How to set up discount codes from the School Dashboard (www.6crickets.com/school-admin)

Once you have created a discount code, you can give that code to the parent, and they can enter the discount code during step 1 of the checkout process. Note: If your school has its own provider profile, you could also create a discount code from there (How to set up discount codes from the Provider Dashboard)

Early Registration:

You may want to allow your parent volunteers to register their children for your class or camp earlier than when registration is officially set to open. Here is how you can allow those parents to register early:

1. Edit your "Maximum Number of Seats to Sell" so the number is "0". Setting the number of seats to sell to "0" will allow you to open registration early without allowing parents to complete registration and add their children to your class roster before they're supposed to. Instead, parents will only be allowed to add their children to your class' waitlist. Our system won't allow those parents to register for your class until you explicitly invite them to join the class from the waitlist. 2. Open registration early by setting it to the present date or earlier and ask parents to join the waitlist via email. 

 

4. Verify that the parents who added themselves to the waitlist are the parents you invited to register early via email. 

 

5. Invite the parents you choose to join the class from the waitlist. Once you invite them from the waitlist, they will be able to see the class in their shopping cart, and can use the 100% off discount code when they checkout.
