Students can be transferred between sessions from the District, School or Provider dashboard.
- From the dashboard [or the menu to the left] > Roster & attendance > Session rosters
- Find the session the student is currently in. (You can reference the 'Find a Session Roster' section in this help article to narrow down the session list using filters.)

Click the hamburger icon at the upper right corner of the session > "Rosters", or, click "Enrolled: #" link. If the student is unenrolled, click on the "Unenrolled: #" link.
- Find the student you want to transfer on the list, then click the "Transfer" button to the right of the student's name.

Choose the destination school, destination program, then the destination session.

For restricted portal clients, if no payments are involved or if payments were made outside of 6crickets:
- From the district dashboard, students can be transferred across schools or providers. However, to transfer students between schools, the school fees for both the original and destination schools must be managed by the district, which can be checked and updated from the "My schools" page of the district dashboard.
- From the school dashboard, students can be transferred across providers at the same school.
- From the provider dashboard, students can be transferred to sessions across schools within the same district, but not across providers.
- For restricted portal clients, if payments are made through 6crickets, students can only be transferred between sessions offered by the same provider, regardless of which dashboard the transfer is made from.

For non-restricted portal clients, regardless of payment involvement, students can only be transferred between sessions offered by the same provider when using the district or school dashboard. To transfer students across schools from the provider dashboard, the schools must be managed by the same district.

For restricted portal clients, if no payments are involved or if payments were made outside of 6crickets:

Click "Continue", then you will be shown the details of the From and To session, allowing you to confirm the transfer.
- Uncheck "Notify parents about transfer?" if you do not need to notify the parents of the transfer.

If the student paid for the original session through 6crickets, they can only be transferred to sessions that were set up by the same provider. And
- If the destination session costs less than the current session, you have the option to process a refund.

If the destination costs more, you’ll need to process a charge. You can do this after the transfer has been completed.

For unenrolled students, you'll see the option "Would you like to enroll students to the new session?".
- If you do not want the student enrolled in the new session, leave this box unchecked. They will then show in the session's "Unenrolled: #" tab instead.

Click "Make transfer" to complete the transfer process.
NOTE:
- If you see a notification informing you that the session does not have enough seats, you can bypass the warning and complete the transfer.
- Students can be transferred whether they were enrolled by a parent or through bulk enrollment.
