The authorized users of a school can take attendance and sign in/out students. This can be done from the School Dashboard in real-time, either from the Session rosters or by using the “Browse students & parents” feature. This article describes how to take attendance, sort the sessions a student is enrolled in, and sign students in/out from Browse students and parents. This option is best for taking attendance and signing a student in/out across several sessions.
- Navigate to your School Dashboard > Rosters & analytics > Browse students & parents

Search for the Student
Enter the student's name in the search field. Click on the student's name to view their enrollment history on the right side of the screen. -
View Sessions scheduled for Today
If the student has sessions scheduled for the same day as your search, the Today's Sessions filter will automatically display the class details. and allow you to easily check and take attendance. -
Check Other Sessions
- Other sessions in which the student is enrolled will appear just below Today's Sessions.
- Ongoing (not ended) sessions will be listed first.
- If the student was enrolled in a past (ended) session, an option labeled ‘+ See Ended Sessions’ will be available. Click on this to expand and view the details of those sessions.

Record Attendance
Click the "Present" or "Absent" button to take attendance for the student.

Signing Students In and Out
- If you would like to sign a student in, click the "Sign in" button, identify who is signing the student in, have them sign in the space provided, and click the "Sign in" button to save the signature. This will also mark the student as present.

When the class has ended and it is time for pickup, click the "Sign out" button. Identify who is signing the student out, have them sign in the provided space, and then click the blue Sign Out button in the bottom right corner of the window (example below).
