With the restricted portal feature in place, some parents may complain that they can't log in with a phone number or email address. In this case, the school or district coordinators can check the parent's contact that was recorded in the district SIS and imported into 6crickets. If it's due to discrepancies in their contact information, they have two options:
- Log in using the email or phone number that is already on record in the system, if they still have access.
- They can update their contact information in the district SIS. This way, they will be able to successfully log in using the updated contact details after the next student data upload.
The student and parent's contact info can be checked from the school or district dashboard by following the steps below:
- From the school or district dashboard or left menu > "Roster & Analytics" > "Browse students & parents"
- Enter at least 3 characters of the parent or student name in the search field and hit return/enter. The results will show up below the search box.
- Click the parent name will show their student(s) name on the right side of the screen.
- Click the student name will show the student info on the right side of the screen.
- The student's basic info will appear under the student's name
- The parent's phone number or email address can be checked by clicking the "Parents(n)" button. The phone number or email labeled with "(login)" is the account parents can log in with.
- If the student enrolled in some sessions, their enrollment status and the attendance of the student can be checked from here as well.
