How to check student's basic info and edit their answers to custom questions (for restricted portal clients)

When a district adopts the restricted portal feature and imports student data from the district's Student Information System (SIS) into 6crickets, families are not allowed to edit the basic student information to keep in sync with the SIS, but they can edit answers to custom questions that are added in 6crickets. 

School and district staff can also edit those answers from their school or district dashboard by following the steps below:

1. Locate the roster: From the school or district dashboard > Rosters & analytics > Click on "Enrolled: #" to go to the roster page.
2. Edit: Click the pen icon next to the student's name
3. In the student profiles, staff will be able to edit Provider Questions, School Questions, and District Questions. 
   1. If you need to edit basic student info imported from the SIS, like Student Information, Emergency Contacts, Medical Information, or Pickup Contacts, you need to activate the "Allow staff to edit basic student info" feature by following this help article. Please be aware that the basic student information updated this way may be overwritten by subsequent student data import from the district SIS.
4. Parents or Guardians, waiver signatures, or any custom columns imported through SIS syncing are NOT editable. Fields that cannot be edited will be indicated with a blue “READ ONLY” tag.
